Bekah’s Brave Endeavors workouts became invaluable about 1 month after starting. I was riding a local trail that is full of tight uphill switchbacks - my nemesis. As long as I’ve ridden, I have had nothing but fear, anxiety and hatred (yes hatred) toward uphill switchbacks. I’d go so far as to not ride some of my most favorite trails if I had to ride tight uphill switchbacks to get to them. This is bad, right?! Anyway, I was feeling strong after a month on Bekah’s program, and decided to ride this trail. My goal was to make it around more switchbacks than I had the previous ride. After the first turn I feel good, still full of fear and anxiety, but good. After the second, third, fourth, fifth turns, I’m shocked but continue riding. There is a particularly technical section that I got to and I rolled over it like butter, so smooth! In that moment, I felt all of my fear, anxiety, and most importantly, hatred just melt off me, and it all turned to gratitude - gratitude towards Bekah, towards myself, and towards this trail for pushing me to get better. The feeling was magical!

I've been riding and racing bikes for years now, but have never devoted time to strength training in a structured manner. Since starting Bekah's BE program I've noticed a significant difference in the way I handle my bike. A lot of the leg work has really helped my stability and strength while descending for long periods of time; I race enduro, so being able to use these muscles for sustained periods of downhill sections has been massively helpful to me. My core strength has also increased dramatically which helps on my climbs as well as descents. My body is a lot tighter and more efficient than when I trained simply on the bike.

After starting the program Bekah put together for me, I noticed results almost immediately. Low back pain significantly reduced, average watts over endurance rides increased, in addition to my bike handling. I specifically enjoy the core strengthening exercises without doing repetitive crunches and the efficiency of the program which gets me in an out of the gym in one hour.

I have been on several strength programs in the past and have never been able to stick with them because they were not tailored to my lifestyle. Bekah is amazing at answering me anytime I have a question about my program and she even uploads videos to YouTube of movements that I may not understand or know how to do.
